Where confidence grows
What's happening
At Colegio Pedro de Valdivia Las Condes, safeguarding is more than a policy — it is a shared commitment across our entire school community. We are dedicated to ensuring that every learner feels safe, healthy and supported in an inclusive environment where they are valued and cared for. Together, our teachers, staff and families work to protect children from harm and to help them grow with confidence, both academically and personally.
A shared responsibility
Student wellbeing is a shared priority across our school community. We all play an active role in creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment where every student feels protected and cared for.
Dedicated safeguarding support
Our dedicated safeguarding team is here to listen, guide and support any student who may feel vulnerable or be facing a situation that affects their wellbeing or safety.
Safe and responsible entry
To help protect all students, everyone entering the school is expected to follow clear safeguarding measures that support privacy, respectful behaviour and appropriate boundaries throughout the campus.
Secure access for visitors
All visitors sign in at reception using a QR code and provide the reason for their visit. This helps us maintain effective oversight and support the safety of the whole school community.
A culture of prevention
We promote a culture of shared care and prevention, where every member of the community helps identify and report concerns that may affect student safety and wellbeing.
Safe evacuation procedures
Our evacuation procedures are designed to ensure a calm and orderly response in an emergency, guiding the community to safe areas with the support of trained Emergency Leaders.
Clear lockdown procedure
If an accident occurs, our trained staff respond promptly through established care protocols, ensuring immediate, responsible and appropriate support within the school.
Immediate response to accidents
In the event of an accident, do not move the injured person or attempt to intervene unless you are trained to do so. Contact a member of staff immediately so the situation can be handled quickly and appropriately.
At CPV Las Condes, our approach to school community is shaped by a long-term vision. We see it as a vital part of the educational experience, helping learners develop the understanding, values and skills they need to thrive in a diverse society. Through this approach, we encourage every child to embrace diversity and engage with others in a respectful, positive and meaningful way.
